Ask the ball if you will find the cache, then shake it. On a phone, give the phone a few good shakes. Anywhere, you can tap the ball, press Shake the ball, or press Space.
An answer floats up in the window. Most are the classic Magic 8 Ball answers, like Outlook good or Reply hazy, try again. When the ball says You will find cache, the cache is yours: the reveal opens with the owner's coordinates or keyword.
It is luck, not skill. The chance above the ball is the chance on every shake, and the answers are decided by the server, so there is nothing to work out. Some caches promise the find by a certain shake, shown above the ball as well.
