How to play
There is a secret five-letter word. Type any real five-letter word and press Enter to guess it.
The tiles never change color. Instead each guess gets two numbers on the right, the way Mastermind scores a code:
letters that are correct and in the correct place
further letters that are in the word but somewhere else
The numbers never tell you WHICH letters, only how many, so working out the word takes a few guesses and a bit of bookkeeping. If the secret word is CHESS, then CHASE scores 3 and 1, and SCABS scores 1 and 2.
A guess that is not a real word is refused and does not cost you a try. Land the word to reveal the cache. Run out of guesses and you can start again straight away on the same word.
