The ball rolls forward on its own. Tap anywhere on the path, or press the space bar or Enter, and it turns to the other diagonal at once. That is the only control.
There are no curbs. The moment the ball leaves the tiles it falls, so a corner taken too early drops you off the inside and one taken too late sails off the end.
The path is made of phrases: long straights to breathe, short bursts where you tap again and again, and everything in between. It speeds up the further you get.
Jewels sit on tile centers all the way along. Most are on the driving line and are free, and about one in four sits on a corner tile, which means turning exactly there. Taking them one after another climbs the chime, and going past one resets it.
The path falls away behind you. That is for the look of the thing and nothing else: the ball never goes backwards, so nothing you could have rolled on is ever taken away.
The checkered finish line is the goal. Crossing it locks your reveal in and it is safe from that moment, even if the very next corner goes wrong. The run keeps going as bonus track, and the odometer keeps counting for your own best score.
Sound and vibration are both off until you turn them on, with the two small buttons above the path. Vibration needs its own switch on, and what it does depends on the phone. On an Android phone the buzzes tell the moments apart. On an iPhone or iPad you feel your own tap and nothing else, because that is the only thing iOS lets a web page do.
