How to play
Place a piece. Three are offered at a time. Drag one onto the grid, or tap the piece and then tap the square you want it centered on. Pieces never rotate, and one only fits where every cell of it lands on an empty square. When all three have been placed, three more arrive.
Clear a line. Fill a whole row or a whole column and it clears at once, making room again. One placement can clear several lines together.
Scoring. You get a point for every cell you place, plus 20 for one line, 60 for two, and 120 for three cleared in a single move. That total is multiplied by your run.
Your run. Every move that clears at least one line adds one to your run, up to ten, and your score is multiplied by it. Clearing three lines at once is one move, so it adds one, not three. Before your first line the multiplier sits at one. A move that clears nothing costs you one grace move, and a second one in a row puts the run back to nothing.
Markers. Some pieces carry one. A star adds 60 points when it is cleared. A charge also blows out the ring of cells around it. A gem unlocks the nook when a line clears through it.
Jackpot. Every twelve lines you clear by placing pieces pays 500 points, multiplied by your run as well.
The nook. It is a pocket that holds one piece for later. You may put a piece in it at any time once it is unlocked, and swap the piece it holds once per set of three.
Colors. Each kind of piece has its own color, and it keeps that color once it is on the grid. Nothing depends on telling them apart: the markers are shapes as well as colors.
Keys. If nothing fits anywhere and you still hold one, spend it to clear the fullest lines and carry on. Emptying the board by placing a piece earns another. A key buys you room, not progress: the lines it clears do not add to your score, your run, the jackpot or a lines goal. With no fit and no key, the run is over, and you can always start a fresh one.
Keyboard. Press to pick a piece and for the nook piece, the arrow keys or to move it, to place it, to store it in the nook, and to put it back.
